This summer I set out with my family on a train journey from Stockholm down to the Croatian coast. We wanted to travel slowly, stopping along the way to explore cities, meet friends and family, and eventually unwind by the beach.
Along the way, I created an illustration for every stop we made. This mix of photography and illustration was something I hadn’t tried before, and it turned out to be a playful way of documenting the trip. The characters seemed to take on a life of their own, blending into the cities and landscapes we passed through.
The series works like a diary of the journey, where every destination is given its own illustrated twist.
